SysOps

What is SysOps ?

SysOps stands for System Operations. It includes expertise in deploying, scaling, migrating, and managing systems.

You can also think of it as a specialization in the deployment, management and operations of cloud infrastructure.

SysOps and DevOps are slightly different. Unlike DevOps, SysOps follows ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).

The main objective here is to form a strict guideline for providing the IT services that match the business objectives.

Here are some SysOps expert responsibilities:

  • Manage the software lifecycle in the cloud
  • Manage systems architecture at multiple levels
  • Configure cloud infrastructure
  • Patch management and software upgrades
  • Manage disaster recovery
  • Maintain data integrity
  • Monitor the level of performance
